Solstice Song
In the shortest days of Winter, come,in lonely darkness of December.
Come, Solstice of all wintry hearts,
with growing days and warmer climes.
Great hearth-fire, fill empty homes with song,
draw friend and kin to feast unending.
Dayspring of hope, Emmanuel, come to
our poor shelters in the dark of the year.
Mary, Rose of Dawn eternal, wait with us
beneath that lonely Star, bring us
our tender King, our Life, our Joy, once more.
